Description
The discipline of behavioral psychology is well established, and underpins all forms of design, but especially human-computer interaction. It lies at the heart of creating compelling interfaces. However, design education rarely focuses on behavioral psychology, so few designers have a foundational understanding of its key principles.
This course seeks to provide a foundation of psychological principles that will then be applied practically in the second course of this series. It will provide an introduction to the aspects of behavioral psychology that directly impact our design decisions. Whether seeking to persuade, empower, or delight, behavioral psychology provides valuable insights into how people make decisions. These insights will aid us in improving ecommerce sites.
