Marketing includes all the promotional strategies a company uses to attract potential customers to its product or services. With marketing, merchants have the opportunity to expand brand awareness and drive sales.

How marketing impacts businesses

On the surface, marketing seems to be about bringing in as many customers as possible to increase sales. But marketing is about so much more than clicking the “buy” button. For ecommerce brands, marketing is about creating lasting relationships with customers to maintain trust and grow revenue over time.

What is marketing for ecommerce?

Ecommerce marketing involves promotional tactics to drive traffic to an online store and lead visitors to become paying customers. It also involves retaining customers post-purchase. Many ecommerce brands use an omnichannel approach to reach customers at different touch points.

What is omnichannel marketing?

Omnichannel marketing is an integrated approach that uses many channels like social media, email, and SMS to reach a customer. Brands use omnichannel marketing to create a seamless user experience across all touchpoints. Providing a smooth omnichannel experience builds customer trust, reduces friction, and drives more sales for merchants.

You can go through this course at your own pace and on any device. Course progress is saved but assessments need to be completed in one session. Assessments are included after most courses and consist of multiple-choice questions based on the course material. The passing grade for assessments is 100%. The successful completion of the assessment is required to earn a course badge.

This Certification is issued by the external partner Shopify Partner Academy. To take this exam you will need to register on their Academy platform where you can take advantage of this and other courses offered. Shopify Academy will  issue you a Certification.

Once you have passed the course, go back to the course page in Guilds42 to upload your Certification (jpg / png / pdf). Your document will be evaluated and if appropriate and verifiable, you will find this certification validated in the dashboard.
